Patties are the main attraction for many tourist and locals in coastal regions such as Joyudas. Vista Bahía Restaurant has been recognized as one of the places with most variety of patties in the scene. Including pizza, meat and seafood, Vista Bahía’s patties are some of the most recommended to visitors.

Joyudas in Cabo Rojo is known as the golden mile of great food. Its witty and catchy advertisements have served many as reassurance of its gastronomic quality and freshness. There are more restaurants in Joyuda than there are schools and hotels.

The coast of Joyuda has a touristic income which is promoted by showering advertisements to the community. Joyuda has managed to keep its economy moving by complementing its hotels with high quality, but affordable restaurants. The Joyuda Beach Hostel is home to the Asia Italy restaurant, which has become popular for its fresh and deliciously affordable sushi.

Rincón is home to many nightclub scenes and sport bars such as Tamboo. Local business like Tamboo Tavern have achieved high recognitions because of their catchy propaganda. Tamboo was recently recognized by CNN as the #45 in its World’s 50 Best Beach Bars and by Esquire magazine as one of The Best Bars in America, in two occasions.

A typical Saturday in Cayo Caracoles in La Parguera, Lajas includes floaters, kayaks, boats and big crowds. The canal that runs through Caracoles has been adapted as a snorkeling sight and it includes a swing for daredevil swimmers looking for an adrenaline rush. The sight has also gained big popularity for being the home of massive parties like Caracoles Gone Wild and environment conservational activities like La Parguera Recycles.

Sandy Beach in Rincón provides a scenery to delight tourists and bathers at all times of the day. It was home of the first World Championship of Surfing, back in 1968. Sandy Beach is known to receive its best waves from November to April.

A surfer masters his boogie board, during a hot weekday in Rincón. Scenes like this one in Sandy Beach, have given Rincón an international recognition for its wild and untamable waves. Sandy Beach is not a beach for surfing’ beginners and its configuration allows people to be able to walk the entire beach all the way to Aguada.

This group enjoys an habitual fishing trip to the coasts of Joyuda. Because of the proximity to the sea of this community, fishing has become a daily activity for locals. Regardless of the economic situation of PR, fishing has kept alive Joyuda’s commerce; local fisherman and high quality restaurants have strengthened their trading bonds, while maintaining their community afloat.

This small business is very representative of the well-known chinchorro movement, in the coasts of Cabo Rojo. The chinchorreo has been a big part of the success of culinary businesses in the last years. This particular chinchorro is known for its menu, which mostly consists of rabbit meat.

The Punta Arenas Pool Room is a stopping place for many local workers during the evenings in Joyuda , Cabo Rojo. Over the last 25 years, this local business has entertained many generations of folks with its famous pool tables and characteristic music. This pool room is unique among the nearby businesses.

A peculiar family business in seaside Rincón is dedicated to the rental of beach equipment. A few years ago, they only had simple things for rental like chairs, but now thanks to the constant flow of visitors, they have a larger list of items that are available daily. This shack and its employees provide surf lessons, in different size boards and eco tours that include snorkeling, private waterfalls and boat rides.

The Mango Beach Shop is one of the most visited stores by tourists and locals of Rincón. Many people established their businesses in Rincón during the 1970’s because of its exponential touristic impact. Business owners vary in a wide range of ages and nationalities in Rincón, although many of them are from the USA.

Water houses such as this one are distinctive of the coastal scenery of La Parguera , Lajas. Many years ago, each one of the houses was built with palm columns and wood panels, but were later modified with concrete columns. Nowadays, the Department of Nature Resources doesn’t allow expansions or complex constructions on these buildings.

The Puerto Rican flag dances as an accomplice of the wind, in this vacation house located in the coast of Rincón . Last year, this place was booked during all the weekends. Many tourists that have adopted this neighborhood attribute it to the areas’ beauty and ultimately stay here to live.

This apartments’ complex is seaside located in Joyuda , Cabo Rojo. Thanks to recognized seafood restaurants located in the area , many luxury buildings like this one, have progressed during the lasts decades. Because of the present economic recession, the prices of apartments in Joyuda have been affected.

Pelican Point is an apartment rental complex in the coast of Rincón. Last year, they expanded their facilities, making two more rooms because of the high and constant demand in the area. Rincón has around 20 accommodations similar to Pelican Point.
